This Privacy Policy sets out the data processing practices of SSAFA for personal information in electronic and manual form. If you have any requests concerning your personal information or any queries with regard to these practices please contact the Online Communications Manager.

However if you wish to use certain services such as the ability to send us your questions and comments and receive notices of new vacancies with us, you will need to provide certain personal information.

Job Applications

This website offers you the possibility to download and print application forms for vacancies with us.

When you fill in the relevant form, you will be asked to provide details of your education, employment history and other similar matters relevant to our decision to offer you a job. You will be asked to provide details of your ethnic origin. This is so that we can maintain our commitment to being an equal opportunities employer. Please note that you are entitled to refuse to disclose this type of information and rest assured that your decision will have no influence whatsoever on the outcome of your application. If you do provide the information, it will not be used for any other purpose than equal opportunities monitoring and will be kept confidential at all times.

You will also be asked to provide details of your criminal record and police enquiries relating to you. Please note that you must provide this information, as this is a legal obligation. This information will not be used for any other purpose than complying with our legal obligations and will be kept confidential at all times.

Ethnic Background

We ask you to provide information about you ethnic background so that we can monitor the implementation of our equal opportunities policy. It will not be used for any other purpose and will not be looked at by those short listing or interviewing candidates. We would encourage you to give us the information so that we can have a full picture of our recruitment patterns. Please note however that you do not have to provide this information.
