SSAFA Forces Help is thrilled to be one of the Military Wives Choir's chosen charities - and even more thrilled that they reached Christmas Number 1!
Watch the video for “Wherever You Are”, and then click on links above, or go to SSAFA's Facebook page to buy the single and see the difference your support can make to the Armed Forces and their families.
Even though Christmas has come and gone, we're still encouraging everyone to buy the single, so SSAFA can help even more people.
Gareth Malone, BBC2's Choirmaster guru, has worked his magic to spectacular effect this year - by inspiring a group of Service wives to form a choir. The Military Wives Choir is a group of Service wives from Royal Military Bases Chivenor and Plymouth, who formed a choir whilst their husbands were serving in Afghanistan. Their debut single "Wherever you are" reached the coveted Christmas number 1 spot, and all proceeds from the sales are being split between SSAFA Forces Help and The Royal British Legion.
Both the wives themselves and Gareth Malone are keen to promote both charities and the work we do for the Armed Forces and their families. In an interview on national TV, Gareth announced that his 91 year old grandfather is currently being helped by SSAFA Forces Help. His grandfather, who served with the RAF during World War II, is just one of the 50,000 people that SSAFA assists each year.
