Something on your mind?

Forcesline is a free and 100% confidential helpline that is completely independent of the military chain of command. The experienced civilian staff provide a supportive, listening and signposting service for serving personnel and their families, as well as former members of the Armed Forces. You can talk to us about anything including personal concerns, worries and problems. Where possible, we will give you factual information or 'signpost' the appropriate ways forward, but we will never judge you.

Our telephone support line is available Monday-Friday, including Bank Holidays, and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. The line is open from 10.30am - 7.30pm (UK local time).

Forcesline FREEPOST Letter Facility

If you prefer to contact Forcesline by letter, the FREEPOST facility is a companion service and operates on exactly the same basis. We will respond quickly and we aim to have posted a full reply to you within one week of receipt. Unfortunately, speed of delivery cannot be guaranteed once a reply has left our office.

Service Personnel who are absent without leave (AWOL) can speak in complete confidence to the SSAFA AWOL Support Line worker on 01380 738137 from 9.00 - 10.00am Monday to Friday (answering machine for call back outside these times).

The email facility is a companion service and operating similarly to Forcesline. We respond quickly and acknowledge your message as soon as possible after it has been received. We aim to send a full reply within 24 hours. Rest assured that there are a number of security measures in place which protect your email and ensure that your email address is not apparent to our staff dealing with your communication.

Our Privacy Policy lets you know exactly how we will process any personal data you provide us - it is an important document, please read it and when you have done so, please tick the box below. An important point to note is that if you wish to continue the dialogue after you've received your response, for security reasons, you must submit a new form for each email.
