Local Information

Kent branch has approximately 150 volunteers. The majority of these are active caseworkers who last year assisted more than a thousand people in the county by arranging financial support of some £500,000. In addition, we assisted many others to resolve difficulties which included matters such as housing, personal debts and bereavement.

There are veterans of each of the armed services throughout the county. In addition, we are able to support service personnel and their families in the four county garrison towns - Canterbury, Chatham, Folkestone and Maidstone.

Initial contact with SSAFA Forces Help Kent can either be made by phoning the County Secretary (01580 891507) or the Divisional Secretary local to where you live using the appropriate number from the list below.

Would You Like To Help Others?

Being a caseworker is demanding but very satisfying work, if you are the right person. We always welcome more volunteers in the Kent area. If you would like to discuss becoming a volunteer for SSAFA Forces Help Kent, please contact either your local Divisional Secretary or the County Secretary.
