We ensure that Service life does not make family life more difficult for those with additional needs or disabilities

Girl on a giant swing

Life in the Armed Forces is challenging enough without the additional stress of having to cope unsupported with the demands of additional needs or disabilities.  We provide backing, encouragement and a ready source of advice for parents of children with additional needs or disabilities; serving personnel with a disability and their partners and carers.

Our advice and information is available on every aspect of additional needs and disability from help with the Social Services to housing issues.  We are a focus for the Forces Additional Needs Disability (A.N.D)Support Group and we organise children’s holidays which concentrate on offering experiences and activities often unavailable to them. Our holidays are vital to make this happen and we rely on our team of holiday volunteers to assist.
